Instructor

Qais Butt

"I have been competing in Men's Physique since 2019 and have most recently won the UKDFBA British Championship in 2022. I have always prided myself on my posing, studying the top IFBB pros and working with other top posing coaches. I have also helped numerous athletes with their posing over the years, launching the Qaisthetics Posing business in 2022. After attending numerous shows in different federations over the years, I have a grasp on what the judges are looking for with posing and it is what I wanted to reflect with this course."

Case Studies

Chris Rendall

Chris was already a well established competitor and a previous WNBF British Champion. However, he realised that his posing could be improved, especially in the front pose. We switched the hand he was putting on his hips to improve aesthetics, as well and adjusting the foot position, to allow him to put his hips in a more favourable position. These adjustments, which can be found in the academy, helped Chris win a PCA show, and untested federation, as a natural athlete.

Gregor Bruce

Gregor had been competing for a couple of years, but his posing did not display his shape as well as it did his muscularity. Adjustments to his foot positioning and hip alignment helped him display a much better V taper. These adjustments, which can be found in the academy, helped Gregor achieve a 2nd place finish at a PCA show, which is an untested federation, as a natural athlete.

Yamen Chres

Yamen was a first time competitor with very limited posing experience. We had to work from the fundamentals to be able to display the full potential of his physique, but the transformation was drastic. Details on the changes that were made, which helped Yamen to a top 3 finish at the WNBF UAE, can be found inside the academy.

Laurence Harvey

Laurence was a first time competitor, with lots of improvements to be made on his posing, as it did not come naturally time him. In the front pose, we had to change his foot positioning to put his hips at a more favourable angle to display a better V taper, as well as a fuller look to the delts. These adjustments, which can be found in the academy, helped Laurence win his first ever show at the UKDFBA Southern Counties.

Leo Woods

Leo was a first time competitor and it was evident that there was work to be done on his front pose. In order to display more of his width, he needed to work on his lat engagement. The adjustments, which can be found in the academy, helped Leo to a 2nd place finish at the UKDFBA British Finals.

Tom Clarke

Tom was a first time competitor who massively struggled to open up his lats in the back pose. We made adjustments to the alignment of his spine as well as his lat and trap engagement, to ensure he was opening up his lats. These adjustments, which can be found in the academy, helped Tom, a natural athlete, to a 6th place finish at PCA Worlds, an untested federation.

Matheo Saint-Prix

Matheo plans to compete in 2025, but wants to get a head start with his posing. In the front pose, we need to adjust the hip positioning , as well as completely change the way he was placing his arms to display a more relaxed look, as well as more fullness. These adjustments can be found in the academy.

Patrick Jones

Patrick was a first time competitor, who whilst had a great level of muscularity for an 18 year old, was not displaying it fully in the back pose. We played around with the engagement of his traps to help display a wider, more detailed pose. These adjustments, which helped Patrick win his first ever PCA show at 18, can be found in the academy.

Charles Barclay

Charles is the President of the WNBF UAE and has several years of experience as an athlete. However, there was definitely room for improvement with the posing. In the front pose, we adjusted the foot positioning to help him align his hips to display a better V taper and fuller arms and delts. These adjustments can be found in the academy.

Ryan Parker

Ryan will be competing for the first time in 2025, but wants to get a head start on his posing. Ryan had no experience with Men's Physique posing when we started, so we had to work from the basics. Foot placement, weight distribution, torso alignment, hand placement, lat engagement and ab engagement was all manipulated to display a much improved pose. Ryan happens to be the model in the academy videos, and you will happen to find the adjustments made to the poses within the academy.
